An Actor's Journey

What does it mean to be an actor? How do actors do what they do? How do they deal with the frustrations and rejections? These are some of my personal experiences in Los Angeles and beyond. Along the way I'll share what I've learned.

Back From the Beyond (Not Really)

Hey there guys and gals.

It's been much too long since I've posted here. Despite rumors to the contrary, I have not left the business, the country, or the planet. I've just been really busy with acting and all other facets of my life. Thanks to all of those who have emailed. Why 99% of you think I need viagra or hoodia is a mystery though.

What's been going on acting-wise? I've shot a recurring role on a show called LA Forensics for Court TV. The episodes should be airing sometime in the next couple months. I've also done a couple of commercials one for Nabisco and a cool anti-drug PSA with Super Bowl commercial director Jeffery Plansker. The former has aired while the latter should be airing now.

I had a fun callback on Thursday for a Home Depot spot. In the audition, I played a Dad tied up and playing cowboys with his two young sons. When I'm reminded of a big sale, I ask the boys to untie me. The boys really got into it and always refused and threw in the ad-lib of calling me a "mama's boy" each time. That totally cracked me up. "Hey! Who have you been talking to?!?"

Well, I'm off to an audition for a Disney spot. Wish me luck and I'll keep you posted.

Nice to see you've been working! That's always the best reason to neglect your blog. I'll keep my eyes open for your spots coming up, as well.

You certainly deserve a round of applause for your post and more specifically, your blog in general. Very high quality material
