Keeping Busy Is Better
I got a call the other night regarding my auditions for that upcoming production of Arsenic and Old Lace. The director went another direction with the lead but offered me a smaller, comedic role. Ordinarily I would have accepted it but after some deliberation I decided to pass. The drive is pretty long and I'd have had to majorly rework my plans to accomodate the rehearsal schedule -- dropping out of a class, delay taking some casting director workshops, cancel a short vacation, etc. It would have been nice but the timing was just off. There's also another play that I've been asked to audition for.
In any case, I've had a couple of auditions in the past few days that have kept me busy. One for an indy film and one for a fast food commercial. Either project would be a lot of fun for different reasons and I felt good about both. Keeping my fingers crossed and keeping busy.
Thanks for the comment on the site, nice to meet a fellow "thespiean" (I can't spell to save my life), I perform locally in a community theather group in Cincinnati, I was Haryy Roat Jr., in Wait Until Dark a couple of months ago, loved the role. I am directing "The Sunshine Boys next spring. Break a leg my friend!! Hope to hear from you again!!
