Still Here
Well, contrary to popular belief (and perhaps some hopes), I have not dropped off the face of the Earth. I am alive and well in Hollywood -- well, as close as one can get. I've been busy with family, auditions and non-acting work. Nothing too incredible, just life keeping me busy.
In terms of acting, I've decided to take a break from one of my coaches for a little while. The time I've spent with her has been invaluable but I need to shake things up a bit. I want to brush up on my cold-reading skills so I'm starting a new auditioning class. I've previewed it already and can tell it will be an invaluable experience.
I'm continuing my online submissions (not hard to push a button or two) as well as beefing up my in-person headshot submissions -- dropping off photos on a regular basis and following up with postcards. I've done this in the past but want to do even more.
If you're not getting where you want to go in this business, you gotta try different things and redouble your efforts. And keep doing it over and over again. "There's no business like show business...like no business I know..."
Hey,
Glad to see you are still cracking that acting whip. Let us know what the audition class is like when you get rolling. Best of Luck!

I know how it is, though. I'm getting ready to start a class next week, and getting my butt out to auditions.
Posted by: Chris Benham | April 26, 2006 09:09 AMyeah!!, your back. I was running out of new content to read. I actually had to jump over to Don Foley's website and read what was over there. Luckily he and I have some of the same obsessions. We both like Star Trek. : )
Try not to stay gone so long.
Posted by: Marsha | April 29, 2006 09:10 AMThanks guys. Nice to hear from you.
Marsha, I've been a Trekker for a long time myself -- though I prefer the earlier material over the most recent.
Posted by: Trevor | April 29, 2006 09:10 AMI was recently reading foxnews and ran across a star trek website that I never knew was out there. I think you might like it. It's called startrekthenewvoyages.com
The people from this site filmed their own star trek episodes.
Posted by: Marsha | April 29, 2006 09:11 AMI actually met James Cawley (who plays Kirk and produces them) by chance one day here in LA. I've seen parts of the episodes and they've done a nice job of reproducing classic Trek.
