Busy & Booked
I forgot to mention that I also booked a SAG Industrial this week. A rather nice surprise. I’m guessing that we’ll be shooting it in the next week or so.
Remember the posting I made about rushing to multiple auditions a couple days ago? Well, it seems I’ve booked two out of the three from that busy day.
I’ve sometimes thought that, “the busier you are, the better you are.” I think that applies to auditioning in particular. When you have one audition, I think you’re likely to focus too much on it and may end up feeling tense. When you have multiple auditions or projects, I think you’re less likely to do that. You focus on one, do it and then it’s on to the next. It’s also much easier to just let the auditions go and not second guess yourself to death.
What is an SAG industrial? Is that one of those incase of nuclear war duck and cover movies?

The "SAG" part just means that they've signed an agreement with the Screen Actor's Guild. They commit to certain standards and pay rates and in turn, they can use SAG actors. They could also hire non-union actors but if they didn't have that agreement, SAG actors couldn't be part of the project.
Hope that helps!
