An Actor's Journey

What does it mean to be an actor? How do actors do what they do? How do they deal with the frustrations and rejections? These are some of my personal experiences in Los Angeles and beyond. Along the way I'll share what I've learned.

James Bond Meets Tennessee Williams

"I encountered Tennessee Williams through The Red Devil Battery Sign. I was playing a small role and then understudying one of the principals.

Pierce BrosnanThe fellow I was understudying was having difficulty and they said (to me) "would you come around to Tennessee's apartment tonight?" I said "sure." You just know when certain opportunities arise. You just know that this is the moment and you just give it your all.

And I did, and I got the part. And he sent me a wonderful telegram and it said "Thank God for you my dear boy. Love, Tennessee Williams." (A note) which I have not thrown away."
-- Pierce Brosnan, actor best known for playing "James Bond."
