An Actor's Journey

What does it mean to be an actor? How do actors do what they do? How do they deal with the frustrations and rejections? This is the story of my personal experiences in Los Angeles. Along the way I'll share what I've learned.

Another Kimball Actor

I believe I first saw Chad Kimball onstage during the pre-Broadway run of Into the Woods in Los Angeles. I say "I believe" because he was playing "The Cow" and you really couldn't see any recognizable human part of him in the costume. As anyone who saw the show knows, he was hilarious and a joy to watch in a very physically demanding role (obstructed vision, walking around on all fours using short stilts, etc.). It reminded me of some of the weird characters and costumes I've had...could it be the last name?

Well, Chad has moved onto other roles and has just opened in the new Lennon musical, based on the life of musician John Lennon. I've heard early buzz on the show and it sounds like a "must-see."

In addition, Chad just released his own line of designer t-shirts. They're available from ogearclothing.com and look really attractive. Readers of TalkinBroadway.com, will receive 10% off any order by entering the text TB8905 (until 10/12/05).

Check 'em out. C'mon, support an actor named Kimball. How many could there be?
